Authorization for Out-of-State Course Delivery
Southern Oregon University participates in the national State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement, making it possible for students from every state except Massachusetts to enroll in online courses offered by SOU.
In compliance with USDOE regulations, current and prospective students can find information about state authorization and complaint processes on the SOU State Authorization page. To determine whether programs in Education meet requirements for licensure in other states, contact the teacher licensing board in the appropriate state.
Here’s information about paying your bill and activating your SOU ID card. Be sure to read and follow all instructions.
Online course fees are due the first Friday of the term. Students are encouraged to pay all charges in full at the beginning of the term to avoid late fees or penalties. See the Payment Policies page for details about payment options and procedures.
If you are unable to pay your account in full when the term starts, you can use the SOU Revolving Charge Account (RCA) Plan. This monthly payment plan is activated if you do not pay your bill in full by the due date. A nominal fee and interest will be applied to the outstanding balance on your account.
Note: You must sign the terms and conditions of the RCA Plan even if you do not intend to take advantage of the monthly payment option. Otherwise, you will not be able to change your registration or be able to register for future terms. You can sign the form electronically in SISWeb. See the Payment Policies page for instructions on completing the RCA form.
You will automatically receive an SOU OneCard when you enroll at SOU. This serves as your official SOU ID card. Activate the card to access various campus services.
Although the OneCard may be used as a debit card, you are not obligated to use it for anything other than your student ID card. See details about the BankMobile Vibe Account and the SOU OneCard, including instructions on how to select your financial aid disbursement selection preference.
You will be notified by e-mail when your card has been shipped. Note that the card will come from the BankMobile Disbursements office in New Haven, CT, not directly from SOU. The e-mail notice will contain an illustration of the envelope so that you will recognize it when it arrives.
