Southern Oregon University is committed to providing students with access to high-quality educational experiences using online delivery tools. Faculty are supported in the design, development, and delivery of online courses by the Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning. The Center also provides workshops and training materials to ensure faculty and students are successful in teaching and learning online.
The Center for the Advancement of Teaching and Learning is located in Room 321 of Hannon Library. We welcome your visit, call, or email about how we can better support your work as an online instructor or student.
Online Degrees Offered
SOU offers online degree completion programs for individuals who have completed some college coursework and wish to earn a degree online. Prior to applying for admission, you need to complete the prerequisite courses for your major and many of your general education courses. We also offer an MBA and MSEd online, both with a wide range of areas of study to prepare you for the next step in your career. Both programs are taught by SOU professors committed to your success.

Authorization for Out-of-State Course Delivery
Southern Oregon University participates in the national State Authorization Reciprocity Agreement, making it possible for students from every state except Massachusetts to enroll in online courses offered by SOU.
In compliance with USDOE regulations, current and prospective students learn about state authorization and complaint processes on the SOU State Authorization page. To determine whether programs in Education meet requirements for licensure in other states, contact the teacher licensing board in the appropriate state.
